The director of VCU Athletics Facilities, Timothy Lampe serves an adjunct professor in the Center for Sport Leadership, where he is co-instructor for the Action Learning Project. He also teaches an undergraduate course in facility design and event management.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lampe graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he competed on the men’s basketball team. Upon graduation, he traveled to the University of New Mexico to complete his master’s degree in sport administration and work as a graduate assistant for the Lobo’s basketball team. Lampe became the director of facilities at UNM before taking his current position at VCU in 1997.
